In the context of rapid technological development today, numerical methods have become a crucial bridge connecting theory and practice, particularly exhibiting indispensable significance in the fields of scientific computing and artificial intelligence. To cater to the demand for compound talents in the new era, we have specifically designed this course aimed at cultivating students' numerical thinking and computational abilities.
One of the highlights of this course lies in its interdisciplinary applicability. We welcome students from all majors across the university to join. As long as you have a solid foundation in high school mathematics, you will be able to easily follow the course. Whether you are interested in numerical computation, data analysis, or wish to explore the mysteries of artificial intelligence, this course can meet your needs.
To enable students to better grasp the core knowledge, we adopt a dual-platform teaching approach using MATLAB and Baltamatica. Through software-assisted learning, you will be able to intuitively understand fundamental mathematical concepts such as linear algebra, and delve into advanced topics like the PageRank algorithm, Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP), function fitting, numerical integration, solution of ordinary differential equations, and machine learning methods.
